LATTICE Management / Sales & retention

How do you automate customer review requests?

Automate customer review requests by using a genuine completed-service event, sending a neutral invitation and suppressing duplicate or inappropriate reminders. LATTICE Management can connect completion status, customer records and review-request workflows. Offer the same public-review opportunity regardless of expected sentiment; never route only happy customers to Google or promise an incentive for a positive review.

What should you decide before choosing?

  • A verified completed job or appointment trigger
  • A neutral request and the correct business review link
  • No incentives, fabricated reviews or sentiment-based gating
  • Permission checks, duplicate suppression and limited reminders

When should the request be sent?

Use actual completion, not an estimate sent or a booking created. The customer needs to have experienced the service before being asked to review it. Timing should be appropriate to the work and the customer’s communication expectations.

Decide whether the message is sent per completed service or limited over a reasonable period. Frequent repeat visits should not create a request every time if that becomes intrusive.

What is a neutral review request?

A neutral request invites honest feedback: “Thank you for choosing [business]. If you would like to share your experience, here is our review link.” It does not ask specifically for five stars or condition a reward on a rating.

Google prohibits fake engagement, incentivized reviews and selectively soliciting positive reviews. A private feedback option can exist, but it must not determine who gets access to the public review link.

Can negative feedback go to the team?

Yes, staff can receive and address complaints. That operational response must be separate from a rule that hides the public review route from dissatisfied customers. Do not pressure someone to remove or change a genuine review in exchange for help.

LATTICE Management can connect a support task with the customer record while keeping the review invitation neutral. Design and test the two paths independently.

What happens if the request is not delivered?

Check permission and contact details, record delivery failures and avoid repeatedly retrying a destination that cannot receive the message. A completed appointment is not a blanket authorization for promotional SMS.

Measure completed-service coverage, duplicate requests, failures and response handling. Do not claim a workflow guarantees a review count or an improved rating.

Use the actual completed job or appointment status.

  2. Verify the review link

Confirm it opens the correct business listing.

  3. Write a neutral invitation

Invite an honest experience without an incentive or rating condition.

  4. Test every sentiment path

Confirm dissatisfied and satisfied customers see the same public-review opportunity.
