LATTICE Management / Customer communication
What software combines email, SMS and CRM?
Look for a CRM with email and SMS connected to the same customer record, shared conversation history and workflows that respect each channel’s permissions. LATTICE Management combines these functions within scoped business systems. A combined platform can simplify handoffs, but you still need to verify sending setup, usage charges, deliverability and which features your plan includes.
What should you decide before choosing?
- One customer record and clear contact matching
- Separate permissions and opt-outs for each channel
- Shared ownership and visible communication history
- Transparent plan, setup and message-usage costs
What does a combined platform change?
When email, text and pipeline activity share a customer record, staff can see the last conversation before responding. A quote request can create an opportunity, an acknowledgment and a task without the same data being typed into several applications.
Consolidation is not automatically better. If a specialist email platform already meets a complex campaign need, connecting it to the CRM may be more practical than replacing it. Compare the process you need, not just the number of tools.
Can email consent cover SMS too?
No. Treat permissions by channel and purpose. A newsletter subscription is not a blanket authorization for promotional texts. Capture and retain the appropriate consent, and make opt-outs enforceable across the relevant workflows.
Registration, sending domains and number setup are operational requirements. A feature labeled SMS does not mean a number is registered or that messages will be delivered to every destination.
[1]What should be included in the cost comparison?
Separate the platform subscription, implementation, communication usage and ongoing support. Ask whether email or SMS usage is metered, what limits apply and how costs are reported. Do not compare a specialist free tier with a fully configured system as if the inclusions are identical.
LATTICE Management’s Starter plan is self-managed. Configured plans and custom work differ in setup, automation and support. Use the current pricing page and a scoped proposal to confirm the full arrangement.
[2]Who maintains the workflows after launch?
Assign responsibility for template changes, sender setup, permission records and failed messages. A shared inbox needs an actual owner or it can become a new place for unanswered conversations.
Review whether your team needs sophisticated campaign design, sales reporting or complex team permissions. A consolidated setup should not remove capabilities the business relies on without a documented replacement.
How do you put this into practice?
Audit customer records
Find duplicates, conflicting fields and disconnected opt-out lists.
Define channel permissions
Record the purpose and evidence of permission separately for email and SMS.
Set up sending
Confirm number registration, domains, templates and usage reporting.
Test a full conversation
Follow an inquiry from email or text into the pipeline and a human reply.
